Glossop SNT - Glossop Police Cadets return to duty
PCSO Buller from Glossop SNT attended the Cadet Centre at Fauvel Road, Glossop, yesterday evening - Wednesday 10th September. The Glossop Police Cadets have now returned to duty after their summer break and were joined by 5 new recruits who attended with their parents. Whilst there were they shown various power points about being a cadet and what is required - then a quick measurment for their uniform and some early drill practice to finish off.
It was good to see the senior cadets helping and assisting their new colleagues - so its a great big welcome to the new cadets on taking their first steps in the Policing family.
Also a big thankyou to the cadet leaders for their time and encouragement tonight too.
ℹ️ For info recruitment for the Glossop Cohort has been extened until December - We're looking for young people from the Glossopdale and New Mills areas.
So if you know of a young person who may be interested in developing a spirit of adventure and good citizenship then please read on!.
👮 Senior Cadets - you must be aged between 13 and 18 (Academic years 9 to 13 as of September 2025) to apply to join the Cadets. 👮 Becoming a police cadet will give you a real insight into policing and encourage your spirit of adventure. 👮 And, even if you don't go on to join the constabulary (although we hope you will), you’ll definitely become a more confident and socially aware young adult. 👮 Glossop Cadets meet on Wednesday evenings between 7 pm – 9 pm at The Cadet Centre, Fauvel Rd, Glossop SK13 7DW
For any additional information please contact via e-mail citizensinpolicing@derbyshire.police.uk to speak to member of the Cadet team.
